Hey hey!
First of all, sorry about disappearing for some time. We been workin to the bone finishing up these drum tracks. Right now we’re sitting in the control room, going through the very last song. We have an electronic kit set up in the control so we can all be in the same room when working out drum parts, then Steve just goes in and tracks the real drums in the live room.
Our producer Arnold is back in California right now, he’ll be back in about a week or two and we’ll start recording vocals and bass. So! tomorrow starts a whole new task, lyrics and bass. We’ll start working on lyrics for the songs so as soon as Arnold gets back, recording can start right away.
You can check out how recording is going in our Bandlife episodes. You can watch the newest episode right on our myspace page and take a second and head over to our Youtube to catch up on past episodes.
Drums will done within the next hour or so and we gotta case of beer and whisky callin us.
I wanna try and keep this straight and to the point, so stop me if I start to ramble, even though you technically can’t since your not where I am, but you can try! but anyway!
Our producer Arnold was here for about 3 weeks, and in those 3 weeks we got a lot done. We haven’t started recording yet, but we have everything in place so we can start right away when he gets back on March 4th. We spent a lot of time piecing together the arrangements of the songs, making decisions on drum parts, bass and guitar parts and everything in between. Our good friend Steve Molella has been kickin serious ass with the drums and he’ll actually be tracking the live drums on the album. So, now that all of that is figured out, we are ready to start recording as soon as he gets back!
But! just cause Arnold’s gone for 2 weeks doesn’t mean everything gets put on hold, there’s still plenty to do to keep us busy. We decided to take a few days off to just hang and probably do nothing but stuff our faces with ice cream and jack daniel’s, not together of course, orr maybbee, hmm (raises eyebrow). When we’re finished stuffing our faces, we’ll be working on keyboards and synths, going through hundreds of different sounds to come across that one perfect one that fits the vibe of each song. So that will definitely keep us busy until Arnold gets back.
SO! we’re gettin closer and closer to having the album finished! and we can’t wait for you guys to hear it! we know your gonna love it as much as we do!!
So!
We’re here in the studio, one of our buddies that’s tracking drums on the record for us is in the live room sitting on the drum kit. We’re all here in the control room, listening to him hit the same drum over and over while we get the right tones and fix little bugs with mics and other shit.
We’ve spent the last few days messin around with different drums, sizes and models and I think were all set on the set up were gonna use on the record. So, just havin that feeling of getting really close to tracking drums is sweet! We made some minor furniture adjustments and now we have some actuuall sunnlight comin into the room! haha we’re no longer vampires.
Today was alot of running around getting the new drum skins and pieces of wood for sound altercations in the live room. That took up most of the day. It’s 11:22 right now and we’re callin it for the day, Were all pretty beat. So tomorrow we’ll come in and keep goin on getting drum tones before we start actually tracking the drums. Mikes looks like a rock on the couch right now, don’t think he’s moving from there. Evan might just have to carry him to the van.
I’m gonna try to keep this up at least once a day but my memory sucks so bear with me.

So we figured, it’s been a while and we’re sorry we’ve disappeared from every means of communication with us for the past few months. But! it’s not like we’ve been sitting around on our asses doin nothing! We gettin ready to start recording the album in the coming next few weeks!!
AND WE ARE STOKED!!!
We hope you guys fall in love with the new songs as much as we have. We’ve had some friends come and go in the studio to take a quick listen to the songs so far and we’ve been gettin some great feedback, which is always a good thing!
Just want you guys to know, we haven’t forgotten about you guys and we can’t wait to hit the road again and see you all and play the new stuff for you!!!
We’ll try our best to keep bloggin and keep you up to date on what’s goin down in our part of town.
The guys are back in Toronto for a sold out hometown show and start heading out West the next day. With the schedule in a tangle, the guys find themselves stuck in the Canadian prairies for 4 days with nothing to do, or so they thought.
