Bad news = I drank too much in Thunder Bay a couple weeks ago on tour, lost my passport, and now it’s 2AM and my alarm is set for 7:15AM to go get a new one… Arghhhhh!

Hey! So we just got with the year 2008 and got a Flickr account! CLICK HERE to check it out. There are just a handful up there now, but check back soon - when we have some time we’ll get buttloads uploaded. Some of my favs are the shoot we did downtown L.A. with Tyler Shields. We’d been in L.A. many times, but never ventured to the actual downtown area, which is part financial district, part sketchy scary ghetto. Tyler showed us where some of the really rough areas were and drove us about two blocks away to take pictures!
Thanks, Andrea for posting these pictures on Facebook of the Cobalt show I mentioned, which ended up with us onstage singing Bohemian Rhapsody with Suzie McNeil. Does it make it funnier, or just a little sad, that the costumes weren’t planned - we just happened to be amusing ourselves backstage in the costume room when we were called up on stage….
Hey! Someone sent this over to us today. It’s a really nice review of our new EP in the Edmonton Journal. Check it out:
Album: The Breaks
Artist: Hello Operator
Label: Morada Music
Rating: 4
Review: Hello Operator? Could you please connect me to some vibrant, neon-splashed pop-rock songs that’ll propel me into a frenzy of ’80s-inspired footwork? The Breaks is Hello Operator’s latest EP, and by the sounds of the six tracks found on this little cherry-flavoured jube jube, the Toronto-based new-wave group knows how to pen some incredibly catchy tunes. From the moody number Chasing Satellites to the cooler-than-thou 55 Regrets, there’s no song on The Breaks that doesn’t utilize the same simple climactic choruses to tickle the taste buds. Before you know it, you’ll be singing — and dancing along — to that mysterious voice coming out of your speakers
Cameron’s Brewery was really nice to us on our last tours with Faber Drive and Suzie McNeil, so we edited some videos of us with the beer on the road. We found costumes backstage at one show and we were working on a good one that involved Cameron’s beer, a huge bunny suit and our guitar tech dressed up like Dee Snider. The only problem is right before we started filming it, we heard Suzie McNeil call us up onstage to sing Bohemian Rhapsody, so we had to run out costumes and all…. anyone from Cobalt have any photos or videos of this??? Here’s what did end up on their website:
We’re pretty excited to have our music in the new version of SBK-08 Superbike World Championship. The game looks awesome and is out in Europe in September for Playstation and Xbox. Check out the trailer for the game, featuring Chasing Satellites!
